Solano County Agricultural Summit on the
Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA)

WHEN: Thursday, May 26, 2016, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
WHERE: Ulatis Community Center, 1000 Ulatis Drive, Vacaville, CA
REGISTRATION: Space is limited, please register at: http://solanoagsummitsgma.eventbrite.com. Event is free with refreshments provided.

Hosted by: Dixon Resource Conservation District, Napa-Solano Cattlemen & Woolgrowers’ Association, Solano County Agricultural Advisory Committee, Solano County Department of Agriculture, Solano County Farm Bureau, Solano Land Trust, Solano Resource Conservation District, UC Cooperative Extension, USDA-NRCS Solano Co.

The above organizations invite all agricultural producers in Solano County to attend this very important meeting regarding how groundwater will be regulated. This is a rare opportunity for agriculture’s collective voice to influence a regulatory process, and nothing is more important to agriculture than water.  This meeting builds on the SGMA information workshops held earlier this year and will have two major objectives:

1. Develop a unified message from the agricultural community on SGMA.
2. Explore how the agricultural community’s interests can be best represented in a Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA).

This critical issue requires the attention of all farmers and ranchers in Solano County. Please make this a high priority to attend. Attendees will include farmers and ranchers, agency representatives and elected officials.
